April Catch Up

- For Spring Break, we decided to do a little Stay-cation and explore Salt Lake City.  We stayed in a hotel with a waterside for one night.  We visited the SLC Children's Museum and saw the State Capitol building.  The kids kept wanting to know what was next!  We were all exhausted when we got home.

- Andrew loving to match with Chase
- Dress-ups galore for this girl! (bottom left playing with Grandma Parker's old jewelry)

- Baseball, baseball & baseball.  Go, Cubs, Go!

- Brandon and I were contributing to family dinner by making Katherine a chocolate cake for her birthday.  We were planning on making it from scratch and it turned out horribly!  So Brandon turned it into a volcano while we attempted making the second cake from scratch which barely turned out.  Next time we are sticking to the box mixes!!  I think we were making cakes all afternoon and they weren't even tasting that good!

- We celebrated great-grandpa's birthday at Chuck E. Cheese and it was a riot!  He was such a good sport and even did the ticket blaster.  The kids loved it!

- Rachel had her year-end performance of Aladdin, A Tale Told Inside Out and her character was Abu, the monkey.  She did a great job, and enjoyed being in a play!

- The much anticipated daddy-daughter date & dance happened and they went to Costa Vida for dinner (Rachel's choice) and she even got to pick out a new dress at Costco.  Brandon snuck around the back and then knocked on the front door to pick her up - she thought it was silly, but also loved it!
- Rachel wrote her very own primary talk all by herself, we added a few things and helping with some editing at the end, but she did so great!
- Rachel has been throwing some epic tantrums/outbursts as of late, but one that needs to be documented is the time that her door got taken off.  Brandon told her that if she shut her door one more time that he would take her door off.  She challenged him promptly slammed her door.  So he HAD to take the door off.  She was so sassy during the entire thing and was doorless for probably a week.  Sheesh!

Springtime!

HOGLE ZOO
I took Andrew & Kendall to the Hogle Zoo one morning and our favorite was the baby orangutan and carousel, of course!

SHENANIGANS
- Kendall and Andrew did some swimming lessons, and both of them did really well.
- We had Leslie and Morgan's family over for dinner and these big cousins (Brandon and Morgan) are two peas in a pod!  They are so dang funny together, and love to wear ugly clothes.
- Occasionally I will find Andrew completely naked on the toilet.  I snapped a picture of him one day that was too funny!

HARRY POTTER
Brandon has been reading Harry Potter to Rachel and she has been loving it (so has he!).  They zipped through the first two and got to watch the movies too (after the littles went to sleep).

ST. PATRICK'S DAY

My little leprochauns
BYU GAMES
Volleyball & baseball games with daddy while mom works or gets some time to herself!

EASTER EGG HUNTS
We had a fun Easter egg hunt at Grandma Nancy's house and all the eggs had treats and a money in them.  The kids each got $12 - Rachel spent hers on little animal eraser and Andrew and Kendall wanted to buy pajamas - not because they don't have enough.  They had the choice between a toy or clothes and they both chose pajamas - weirdos.  We also had an egg hunt with the Jenkins' family!

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
I had to post this because it took me more hours than I care to admit!!  :)

GRANDPA'S 80TH BIRTHDAY
Chad & I put together a video for him the week of, and Mom spent 3 weeks of 8+ hour days getting ready for the party in their yard.  We also did a Saturday service day helping in their yard.  They live in Lindon, and just old their St. George trailer, so we will get to see them more often.
