Already 6 weeks!

Already six weeks and a million pictures to prove it!  Carson is extra patient with Rachel and Brandon claims that he likes her more than him, but my theory is that he expects less from a 9 year old.  Carson and I only lasted with nursing for one month!  After some fussy and gassy tummy problems, I attempted a non-dairy diet:  "I love my baby more than dairy.  I love my baby MORE than dairy."  Well, that only lasted a week and a half!  Also, when I was pumping and trying out a gentle formula, I realized I wasn't even producing as much milk as Carson was drinking.  So we called nursing quits and you know what - everyone was a lot happier!

Back to School

I love it when the kids go back to school!  I get so excited for them - and for me!  It means a fresh, new start and sticking to a routine / schedule!  We loved everything that summer offered, but we are all getting a little tired of each other and could use some space.  I really hope that Kendall will go back to entertaining herself (she was so good at that last school year) and that she will make new friends in preschool.  Andrew is finally in full-day school, and he is SO ready!  Rachel is super excited to see her friends everyday.  Also, I think that I will let them walk to/from school since they have each other to walk with.  Woo hoo!

Rachel - 4th grade - Mr. Bezzant
She is ready with her choker necklace, light blue converse shoes, and emoji backpack.  She definitely has her own sense of style and requests all sorts of fancy hairstyles.  She loves her new baby brother, gymnastics & turtles.
Andrew - 1st grade - Miss Brown
He was a little nervous for school because his best buddies have a different teacher and he was anxious about not knowing who the bullies were.  Don't worry, buddy, you are the tallest kid in the class!  Andrew loves pajamas, jumping on the trampoline with dad, and all types of fruit.
Kendall - Preschool - Miss Annette / ABC Preschool
She likes to dance, play with beanie boos, and must have a buddy when going upstairs or downstairs. She is also funny, likes to talk, and dislikes anything to do with bread.

Brandon's 34th

We are still smitten with our sweet, little Carson (especially evident by all the pictures here), but we made time to celebrate Brandon's birthday and let him have a tiny bit of attention.  We got Mexican food for ourselves, then took the kids to the creamery for lunch.  We went bowling on BYU Campus, and we had a fantastic time!  (Note to self:  do this every year.)  When Carson woke up, I put him in the baby wrap and kept bowling - I bet I looked pretty hard core bowling while "holding" a two week old baby.  It's pretty crazy that we have four kids to keep track of now!!

Brandon bought himself a paddle board for his birthday!  We love paddle boarding and will hopefully get to use it lots - especially at Manilla pond which is just a few minutes away from our house.
