Andrew turns 7

Andrew had a fantastic 7th birthday party!  He finally decided on a Scooby Doo theme and since Brandon is retired from making cakes, I put him in charge of all the party activities.  He came up with the most elaborate Scooby Doo scavenger hunt with craziest clues (decoders, glow in the dark writing, binoculars, etc.)!  While the boys were outside playing, someone had stole all the birthday present and left clues so the boys could find the presents.  The last part was setting a trap to catch the present-stealer and Brandon came out in a cape and mask and they threw a blanket on him and tackled him to the ground!  Brandon had some story about why it was him who stole all the presents.  I think Brandon did a little too good of a job because Andrew and Kendall could NOT go to sleep that night because Brandon's mask had scared them.  That made me so anxious that we had scared a whole slew of little boys, but I didn't hear any major complaints from his friend's moms - phew!  I asked Andrew what he wanted for his cake, and he said a big mound of mint chocolate chip ice cream.  That I can do!

He got lots of presents:  Ninjago legos, Nerf, candy, spy goggles, poop emoji pillow, legos, Voltron toy, coupons to stay up late and jump on the tramp with dad.

I wrote a little bio on Andrew for his class:
Andrew was born on September 30, 2010 in Gilbert, Arizona.  As a baby, Andrew was chubby and had the squishiest cheeks.  We called him Bubba.  As a toddler, Andrew was an early riser and woke up at or before 6am every morning, no matter what time we put him to bed.  He loved his blankies and was the best eater.  He was also particular about his clothes.  One Arizona "winter", he only wore long pants and long sleeves and absolutely refused to wear shorts or short sleeves.  This lasted for months, even when the weather started getting very warm.  As a preschooler, Andrew was learning and growing and made lots of friends.  His favorite thing was playdates.  Our family moved in between his 1st and 2nd years of preschool from Arizona to Utah.  Once we settled into a new house and neighborhood, he quickly made new friends and still loves playdates.  He also loves any kind of clothes and pajamas.  He loves to watch Ninjago and Scooby Doo.  He is a great singer and enjoys playing sports (and getting new jerseys and team shirts).  His most favorite thing to do is jump on the trampoline (especially with dad)!  Andrew is kind, affectionate, sensitive, cautious, a good friend, a leader, silly, a good eater, and a peacemaker.  We love you, Andrew!

Mom & Carson visit sunny AZ

I was missing my dear friends from Arizona, so I booked a flight and made Kasey and Sarah clear their schedules for a couple days.  :)  We just basically did mom stuff together and then talked and talked and talked when the kids were down.  Carson did great on both flights!

Brandon/moms/Kacie/Kelsey took good care of the big three while I was away (Brandon even took them to some free carnival where they got balloon animals and face painting).  Oh yeah, and I found some Blue Bell ice cream and stuffed my face.  I didn't manage to take any pics of Kasey and Sarah - blast - just know they're the cutest moms ever.
