Carson 3-4 Months (October & November)

Carson has been my best day-time sleeper baby up to this point, which doesn't take much to beat, but I will take what I can get!  During the day, he loves sleeping in his swing (still!) and it usually means a longer nap.  He is also the easiest to put to sleep - just a swaddle and some gentle rocking (even just from me sitting on the couch) and he will fall asleep in just a few minutes.  Bless him.  Brandon likes to "watch sports" with Carson, and sometimes he will fall asleep on his lap without even being wrapped.  He loves his binky, and he likes us to come visit lots in the night and help put it back in his mouth!  Ugh!

His go-to move is to lift up his head, which means that he doesn't want to be laying down anymore and it is our cue to pick you up.  We still have to work pretty hard for giggles, but he's generous at giving out smiles.  His favorite person right now is Nana and he laughs the most at her horsie rides, hand shakes and tipping upside down.

Fall Lovelies

- Andrew and Rachel's friends have played together a few times at recess!  Melts my momma heart!
- Carson had a serious spit up right on Kendall's pajamas and she took it like such a champ - she laughed and went and changed her clothes like it was no big deal.  The others really hate for spit up to get anywhere near them.
- While working on Kendall's homework, we were thinking of things that began with the letter B.  Kendall suggested boobies.  ha ha!
- Poor Andrew got sick with the barfies.  And I learned that he is kind of a dramatic thrower-upper!  It was actually making me laugh because he was screaming while barfing, "This is killing me!"  He also insisted that his shirt be off because he didn't want to get any throw up on it.  Brandon was a much more supportive cheerleader and coached him on how to get everything out.  Andrew later said he very much appreciated dad cheering him on and helping him.  Those two are two peas in a pod sometimes.  The saddest part about being sick and missing school for Andrew was that he would miss pizza day for school lunch.  This kids loves school lunch!
- On one Sunday, I was sitting in the middle of Sunday school when I felt something on my shoulder, so I quickly looked over and couldn't see anything, but I did feel something again near my neck.  I jumped and tried to swipe whatever it was away.  Then I felt like it may have crawled down my shirt, so I was unsuspectingly trying to find it by looking down there and reaching my hand down my shirt without drawing too much attention to myself.  I couldn't find anything, but I smashed around a little bit just in case there was something still there.  When I got home from church, I checked under my shirt and sure enough, there was a dead (smashed) spider! So gross!
- Shalauna came in town for a visit (she lives in California now) and while her and Zac were here, her friend called and told her that two of her kids had come down with lice and Shalauna was just at her house the day before.  So we didn't wanted to risk it, so I combed through every square centimeter of Shalauna's hair just in case.  We didn't find anything, but we laughed so hard we almost peed our pants.  We facetimed my mom, who suggested I wear a cap while checking Shalauna's hair - great advice.
- The fall color BLEW MY MIND this year!  I love the seasons here!
- The kids went and helped the neighbor lady rake the leaves in her yard.  They also had plenty of leaves to rake at our house with our giant front yard trees.
- Rachel took her 4th grade mountain man rendezvous very seriously and she collected and bought all sorts of goods for trading - including convincing me to sew some emoji pillows.
- I hosted a baby shower for Katherine's baby - a little boy who is coming in January.  She wanted a safari theme and everything turned out super cute.  Mom and Cindy helped a lot with the party.
- The big kids and I ran a Thanksgiving Turkey Trot around the Mount Timpanogos Temple.  It was a 5k, but we ran maybe 2/3 of it.  I was proud of them for running and trying their best!  While we ran, Brandon went to play football with his buddies.

Andrew's first basketball season

Brandon coached Andrew's basketball team in the Fall and he said it was the most fun he has had coaching so far!  Woo hoo!! That plus the fact that Andrew had a natural ability for the sport (his height helps) was just the icing on the cake.  It was really fun to watch the team succeed and improve!

This is Amy & Ezra Bennion and Carson and Ezra are just 3 months apart - we are expecting them to be best buds and little terrors in nursery!  :)
