Halloween Festivities

Halloween was super fun this year!  It was fun to have a baby around and it didn't take long for him to figure out how awesome trick-or-treating is!  It was also fun/interesting to have one old enough to go trick-or-treating with her friends!  I snapped a picture when they stopped at our house.

Carson was a dinosaur, Kendall was Spiderella, Andrew was the blue power ranger, and Rachel was a baby dressed in a unicorn onesie (ha!).  Kendall dressed up as a ballerina for her dance class (pictured with her buddy, Kylee).  Uncle Kyle came over and dressed up as a storm trooper!  Nana & Papa also dressed up as a King and Queen!

The kids got LOADS of candy since they trick-or-treat our neighborhood plus dad's work in the afternoon.  Kendall sorted her candy and only liked less than half of what she had got (the pile on the right is the one she kept - so many kit kats!).

Who wore it best?  Andrew - left, Carson - right

October

- dressing up in Halloween costumes
- Carson eating tomatoes like an apple straight out of the garden
- Andrew started riding his scooter to school, since he is afraid Rachel and I will be late (we're not late for the record, her and I just like to show up right on time)
- Carson still living on the counter
- picked out pumpkins and took some to Papa & Pookie to put on their porch
- drove up the canyon to see some fall colors
- Carson loves going to support Rachel cheer
- All 3 big kids got recognized for their Reflections entries
- Brandon got to go to LA for a Dodgers vs. Red Sox World Series game (all expenses paid!)
- Brandon and I both got the barfies on the same weekend:
I barfed at 3:30p, then pooped my pants at 4:30p
Brandon came home to save me
Brandon barfed at 5:30p
Nancy showed up at 5:35p even though Brandon told her not to come
Date night in our bedroom taking turns at the toilet - doesn't get more romantic than that!

Kendall turns 6

Kendall turned 6 years old!  We had a Shopkins party at our house and we played games and did crafts.  They each went home with a Shopkins coloring book and necklace with treats and shopkin characters.  Party guests:  Kamilah, Liz, Elisubeth, Avery, Hailey, Kylee & Tais.  Kendall wanted a rice krispie cake that looked like a wedding cake!  It was so fun to celebrate cute Kendall with her friends!

Kendall is usually up for anything (unless it is food related).  She is fun-loving, independent and kind.  She is typically pretty easy to please and flexible (must be since she is the 3rd child).  She doesn't like it if she wakes up after dad has already left in the morning - it typically makes her cry and a phone call to him won't fix the problem either.  She has a little routine that she likes to say and do with him and it's always better in person.  She is our slowest to leave the house, and we are always telling her to put on her shoes a bunch of times!  She is such a joy in our lives and we are so happy to have her part of our family!

Fall Break

I have officially turned into my mother and made the kids do 45 minutes of fall cleaning every day.  They each take a 45 minute turn with mom so that I can help and supervise and the other kids play with Carson.  (Andrew is pictured cleaning's the tub and not wanting to get his pajamas wet!).   It went really well and I have no regrets + my house feels so much cleaner!

They were not so picked on though!  We also went and did something fun everyday - we went to the movie theater, Funtopia, Golden Corral (their favorite!), apple picking at Gma & Gpa Thompson's house, they each had play dates, Rachel got to babysit Kipper, etc.
