- Turned binkie into the Disney store

- Snow Day - kids played school

- Rachel went to the temple

- Basketball reunion at Timpanogos HS with a bunch of girls from THS basketball - Aubrey VP is the head coach at Lehi HS and they were playing at Timp, so we decided to cheer her on (it also happened to be a girls bball alumni night, so we got shirts)

- Funny / not funny story: Brandon got offered front row tickets to "Bright Star" at Hale Centre Theater in Sandy.  We decided to take Kendall & Andrew since Liz and Ian were also going and brought their kids similar ages.  Brandon and Ian looked up the show and it said it was "family friendly" and suitable for children ages 5 and up.  I should have known something was up when our kids were some of the only ones in the theater.  Let's check out part of the plot from wikipedia to explain why this turned out to be a very awkward play to take Andrew & Kendall to:  "In 1923, Alice & Jimmy Ray make their way to the riverbank and make love.  Sometime later, Alice goes to see the town physician, after feeling ill only to learn that she is pregnant.  The doctor and mayor arrange for Alice to stay in a remote cabin for the duration of her pregnancy.  Shortly after giving birth to a baby son, Alice and her mother learn that the mayor and Alice's father have secretly put the child up for adoption.  Alice tries to make her father change his mind but loses the argument.  The mayor departs with the baby in a valise and board the train to Hayes Creek before throwing the valise into the river when no one is looking."  The most awkward part was when they took the baby out of Alice's arms and she was literally screaming bloody murder and when the mayor threw the baby in the river right at the end of Act 1.   

 

Midway Staycation

Our family finished reading the Book of Mormon together, so we celebrated by going to Midway for a staycation.  We stayed at the Homestead Resort and visited the Crater.  We also went tubing at Soldier Hollow.  We hadn't been before, and we had high expectations.  However, it was a little slushy, so not as fast as we would have liked.  And although you do get a ride up, it is a lot of work to pull the tube up to the moving ramp actually.  We were exhausted!  The kids especially loved swimming at the Homestead's pool - it was so warm!  

I wasn't feeling very well, so I actually went home to sleep in my own bed and then drove back up the next morning to meet them.
