Daddy: "Rachel, you need to eat dinner."
Rachel: shakes her head no, moans and whines and doesn't want to eat anymore dinner
Dad decides to move straight to a bribe. Good call.
Daddy: "Rachel, if you take a bite, daddy will do the hot dog dance for you."
Rachel: Grins from ear to ear and opens her mouth very wide ready for her bite.
Mom hurries to place a large bite in Rachel's mouth and then laughs hysterically as Daddy sings and dances the hot dog dance full out. Point of reference: the "hot dog dance" is from Disney's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Rachel absolutely loves it.
Rachel ate her entire dinner, with lots of hot dog dances in between bites. :)
Video below includes shout outs to gma, gpa, nana, papa, and her Christmas request from Santa and a brief version of her doing the hot dog dance. Mostly for family...you know the drill.

i have to admit, when i was reading your story of how dinner time went down i was getting really excited. you see, i thought you had taped brandon doing the hot dog dance. i couldn't wait to see that. maybe next time....

Leslie. I am sure you were not alone in your disappointment that the video did not show me doing the hot dog dance. However, for reasons I'm sure you understand I do not allow flash photography or video recording of any kind during my performances. However, if you and your family would like to see me perform in person, please contact my agent to schedule something. I do private parties of all sorts.
The only way I can get Annie to eat dinner is if I do the same thing! Funny how some people just don't grow up!

As long as you are doing the "Hot Dog Dance" with Mickey's dance steps, I don't foresee any conflicts. I actually have a patent pending on this very same dance but I do it the way Donald Duck does it -- but I do it with pants on.
If the children are on their best behavior they may get to see uncle Brandon and uncle Morgan perform this number this holiday season (I am celebrating Kwaanza this year).
PS: I just got the new Beckett. Want to have a sleepover at grandma's and we can trade cards? Maybe she'll let us watch Sleepless In Seattle. Just sayin'.

So the real question is did he do Mickey's hot dog dance or pull out his Steve Maddens to do Minnie's moves? Is Rachel liking Mickey these days? It's a nice step because Mickey is so much more tolerable then baby einstein to sit and watch with them. I can't believe how well she's talking!! I hear that she won't say my name though...that's got to be confusing for her.
She is SO cute! I love that she has dad wrapped around her finger and she knows it!
