We had a party at Grandma Nancy's - it was actually a combined "Father's Day/Rachel's 3rd Birthday/Brynn's 2nd Birthday/Whitney's Birthday" PARTY! So it was a little chaotic, but so perfect! The B-Day Song was sung 3 different times, and when it was my turn Rachel shouted, "Hey everybody, I'm going to sing the birthday song to my mom all by myself, ok?!" Auntie Rachel is much better at kid birthday parties then I am, so she prepared cute birthday games (like fishing and a parachute), and the kids loved it.
Brandon's mom helped prep the cake since we were running our race, but Brandon did most of the decorating - go honey! He's the cake decorator in our family, and Rachel was very pleased with the final result. She also got little Jessie from two of her best friends at home in AZ (Sami & Janie) and big Jessie from Grandma Nancy. She was thrilled for all the presents, especially since she also got more dress up high-heel shoes, princess books, a stationary set, the movie, "Tangled", and other little toys.
She wore a Jesse costume that we borrowed from Kennedy (it was a little small, but that didn't stop Rachel from wearing it for two days straight!) and we had her own red cowboy boots, but during the party she insisted on wearing high heels with it. Makes perfect sense.

what a darling party, such a cute cake! I swear one of these days we are going to come out to AZ, Brandon is doing the global MBA program with Duke where he goes to 5 countries over the next 18 mos. So he keeps his full time job, and we can live anywhere in the nation. We are excited and I think it will be a great experience. Hope you guys are doing well. p.s. am loving your new blog design

Brandon did it again...spectacular cake....So impressed. Rachel looks adorable as always and I LOVE that family picture Whit...simply perfect(you look beautiful). Love your invites...very profeshh! Between Brandons baking skills and your photo skills you both could do a brithday business ; )
