Grandpy visits

Val had a free flight to use, so he came down a spent a weekend with us in March.  The boys golfed and went to a Cubs game.  The kids were most excited to have him here to tell them his stories all about growing up in Snowflake!

We were just getting off Spring Break, and Grandma & Grandpy treated our family to go see the movie, "Cinderella".  I loved the message, "Have courage & be kind."

Story that by Rachel & Grandpy Val:
It was a dark and stormy night.  We saw Godzilla.  He was stomping on buildings and flinging around airplanes.  We said, "Stop doing that, you oversized, malicious lizard!"
But he didn't listen.
I looked up at him and asked him, "Does your mother know what you are doing?  Do you think she would be proud of you?"
He thought and said, "I don't have a mother.  I don't know if she would be proud if I did have one."  And so, we took him to our house and put him in the back yard.
We told him to not go anywhere, but he did.  He went to Paris and found a female fire-breathing lizard and married her.  He knocked over the Eiffel Tower, and that's where they lived.  His wife had a baby that they named Zillacita.  They lived happily ever after.  The End.
