We jam packed Halloween Weekend! This was the first year that Rachel has been able to wear a costume to school and participate in a costume parade. I helped in Rachel's class with her party and we did a candy corn relay and Halloween charades at my station. We did trick-or-treating at Brandon's work and the kids got a haul of candy without much effort. On Saturday, we started with breakfast at Chrissy & Jonathan Olsen's in Draper and the kids played wonderfully together. It is so fun that they live here! Then we had a Mr. Boogedy 2 party at my mom's house with my family (the adults watched a childhood Disney movie that we would always watch near Halloween - it is still too scary for our kids). In the evening, we trick-or-treated in Chris & Kacie's neighborhood with cousins. So fun!
The half hour before trick-or-treating involved Rachel in hysterics in her room because she couldn't decide what shoes to wear with her sleeper pajamas. We told her that she could choose whether she wore shoes or no shoes and made plenty of suggestions, but everything we'd say she would shoot down. Once we met up with Kennedy, it was an easy decision when Rachel found out that Kennedy was going with no shoes. She quickly changed her idea to no shoes. So glad we got those shoes in her picture (it represents a half hour tantrum)! I also had to paint on Kendall's nose a few times since she kept rubbing it off and do two different hair do's because she pulled out the elastics on the first one. She was also starving and grumpy since she didn't eat what was offered for breakfast or lunch. Andrew was playing it cool since the girls were freaking out. Good call on his part!
