Summer Hiking Adventures with Nana

This summer, we decided to do some kid-friendly hikes with Nana.  We hiked to Battlecreek Falls in PG.  Kendall was kind of a wimp for this one, so we chose an easier one for the next one.  We went to Cascade Springs in Heber.  It was a long drive, but easy "hiking" until Andrew got stung by a bee - then we were done and decided to go home.  We (crazily) hiked to Timp Cave - and we needed Brandon for this one - it was WAY hard and I was really proud of the kids!  Kacie and her kids came too.  It was an exhausting hike, and it was HOT.  I would say this is a good hike for 8+ year olds.  We also went to Spanish Fork Canyon Dripping Rock, and then checked out some red rocks nearby.  Kendall and I didn't want to go explore, so my mom took Andrew & Rachel up higher on the red rocks.  Rachel and Nana coached Andrew to get to the top, and I was at the bottom trying to figure out why I could only see Andrew at the top with no adult supervision.  Nana yelled up to him, "Andrew, be careful up there!"  And Andrew said, "I am being careful.  I have a stick!"  (Rachel said that the stick was about a foot long, and they had a good laugh about it.)
