Christmas Memories

- Luminaria with Nana and Papa and Parker cousins (even better that it was their treat)
- Live Nativity at University Mall
- Ugly Christmas sweaters to the annual street party (even though ugly sweaters was NOT the dress code).  Brandon brought another blow-up decoration for someone to put in their yard.  Now there are two floating around - an elephant (the Shelley's got that one) and a dog (the Awerkamps got that one).
- Going to the Nutcracker with Grandma and the Hale and Jenkins cousins.  Kendall was a little too young for it.  I like to take the girls, but maybe only every 3 years!  :)
- Activity Days movie party where we watched a Christmas movie and had treats.
- Vivint Solar Ice Skating family Christmas party.  The kids did awesome - I was the one who was struggling!  I am getting too old for ice skating - hurts my whole body.
- Ice Skating with the Hale cousins at 7 Peaks
- Thompson "Talent" Show:  Brandon, Cade, and I performed "Hamildolph"; Rachel did a music video; Andrew sang "Mrs. Santa Claus", Kendall showed her dance recital video.  My favorite part of the night was when Grandma showed up in a onesie!  Kendall and Carson were the only kids willing to dress festive with me.
- Brandon took Rachel skiing and from what I can tell, she is a great little skier!
- Rachel slept in Andrew and Rachel's room on Christmas Eve, and then continued sleeping there for the entire week!  That made me very happy!
- Sibling Dinner to Outback / Grandma & Grandpa Sleepvoer is always amazing!  Poor Grandma, our kids are usually the first ones awake and wake up the other kids.
- Christmas dinner with the Hale's where Andrew and Rachel were Mary and Joseph (blackmail pics for later!) and Carson was the chubbiest baby Jesus you ever did see!
- Funny memory:  Brandon took the boys to Walmart to buy Angel Tree gifts.  In the middle of his trip, Brandon’s stomach was killing and he needed to poop. He contemplated driving home and then driving back, but instead he left Andrew in the Game Center near the front of the store and told him not to leave with a stranger while he used the bathroom. He left Carson’s car seat in the car, so he had to hold him on his lap while he did his business. He said the trickiest part was pulling up and buttoning his pants. I cannot stop laughing picturing this whole scenario. Everyone survived!  Christmas miracle.
