4th of July

We saw the balloons, but this year, only Rachel and Carson came because Andrew and Kendall had a bad attitude about waking up extra early and last year they were grumpy, so it worked out great!  We went to Kneaders afterwards and enjoyed our French toast in peace!

We didn't run the freedom run and I was surprised how sad the kids were about not running it, especially since we ran one in May in AF that started later in the morning and was fantastic!  The Provo was is too early and can be stressful!  Brandon and I were happy with the change in "tradition".

We went to the parade, even though we say we don't want to go every year!  This year, I took my shift saving the parade spot with Grandpa Thompson and it was so hot, but we had lots of water and shared an umbrella to keep cool.

We BBQ'd and participated in the Hale Family water fight!  Carson was confused why everyone was throwing freezing cold water at everyone!!  Brandon dressed up as Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Vladimir Putin and threw candy to the kids from the 2nd story window.

We also went to a BBQ at the Thompson's and the kids got to watch a movie in Scott's giant garage.  My aunt Sherry and her husband, Greg, and daughter, Christie were in town from Australia.  It was fun to catch up with them.

Shoutout to Chris who purchased Brandon's festive outfit!
