Andrew turns 8

Brandon took Andrew on his long awaited 8 year old trip (which means no friend birthday party).  It is a mystery to us all that he chose to go to a day at Disneyland and a day at Legoland, since he doesn't like fast rollercoasters, but he had made up his mind!

Words of wisdom from Andrew when Brandon was "yelling" at the California drivers, "Dad, maybe they have hot soup in their car."  Good point, buddy!

Brandon's worst nightmare came true when Andrew chose to eat at McDonald's four times in three days!

On their Disneyland day, their first ride was the Cars ride.  Andrew didn't like it at all and it scared him half to death, which mean no more fun rides for the rest of the day.  Taking Andrew to Disneyland is basically like paying nearly $350 (two tickets + max pass + park hopper) just to go inside the Disney store.  That's why Andrew was there, to see the gift shops!!  The first thing he wanted to do was purchase a toy he found in the first gift shop they went in.  Brandon tried to tell him to wait just in case he found something he liked better.  But Andrew's persistence won, and he bought the toy.  Then he found something he liked more later in the day.  I think he ended up bringing home a Baymax toy, and he gave Rachel or Kendall the toy that he had found and bought first.

At Legoland, Andrew's favorite part was playing xbox with Brandon!  They tried the waterpark, but it was freezing cold.  He also got to dress up in a costume and go trick-or-treating there.

They spent a day at Little Corona Del Mar Beach and Andrew spent a long time just playing with himself.

They also swam at the hotel every night!  Brandon was SO kind to him and let him call all the shots.  I don't think I would have been quite as nice.  When I asked Andrew what his favorite part was, he said that he enjoyed spending time with dad and eating the Buzz Lightyear churros.
